MINDSET

Your mindset will either set you up for success or failure before you’ve even started.  An effective and successful mindset includes making a plan which involves building a proper goal setting strategy, transforming motivation into discipline, creating sustainable habits, having reasonable and healthy expectations, knowing how to intelligently handle the inevitable setbacks and having fun in the process.  By having a mental plan in place based on scientifically proven psychological principles we can increase the likelihood you will stick with your program, achieve your goal and set yourself up for more future success.

NUTRITION

Want to lose weight, add some muscle, change body composition, or train to run a marathon?  Proper nutrition is foundational whatever your fitness goal.  Managing our weight and body composition requires knowing what our bodies need and what we put into them.  You cannot manage what you don’t measure.  So, we focus on educating our clients on the basics of nutrition, how to figure out what their macronutrient requirements are and how they can build a sustainable nutrition program for themselves.  All of our nutrition information is based on scientifically proven concepts.

 

FITNESS

Work smarter, not harder.  Life is not a Rocky movie montage. Immediately jumping into a high workout volume is a recipe for injury and burnout.  We will help you intelligently design a workout regimen that you can stick with, or help you find a program to join.  While many aspects of popular fitness programs look fun and interesting, we focus on what will get you to your goal.  A well designed program includes appropriate levels of metabolic conditioning, strength training, and adequate rest.  And let’s face it, the most effective program is one that you will stick with long term, so obviously there should be some fun as well!

Dave Shabaz

Performance Expert

Dave is a fitness coach and Performance Expert with over 20 years in the fitness industry.  He has worked as both a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, with D1 Collegiate athletes, U.S. Army Soldiers and trainees including Army Ranger Candidates at Fort Benning.  Dave has a passion for helping people achieve their goals, both in and out of the gym and knows that anyone can accomplish any goal they set their mind to. Dave believes very strongly in the ‘teach a man to fish’ philosophy and loves to see people exceed their own expectations.  

He is a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps and lives in Ft Myers, FL.
